About the Artists

July 2026

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Iain MacKinnon, Grace Wright, and Raghnaid Sandilands as the three artists leading the community-based research project Seanchas Beò | Living Lore.

The Plockton Boat is launched for the first time, it is green with blue and orange details and there are colourful flags all around as one of the young boat builders pushes it out in to Plockton Harbour.

How to row the boats

July 2026

Following the From Plockton to Portree project, two new community skiffs were launched in 2023. These can be rowed by anyone and belong to you.
