Vacancy: School of Plural Futures Lead Artist

We are looking for a lead artist and/or Programmer to co-design and coordinate The School of Plural Futures.

The School of Plural Futures is an alternative school led by a group of young people in Skye and Lochlash, that explores local and global issues, place and social justice.

The School takes the form of a series of gatherings, performances, workshops and events. It is a space to think, create responses to challenges facing young people, ask questions and learn together about social justice, the climate crisis and about what it means to live and work here today.

We are looking for an artist/programmer to work with the group to devise and lead the project, taking over the reigns from founding artist Emmie McLuskey, who is finishing up in early September. The artist will have a good understanding of the context in which we work, and make connections with other places and people through the project.

The project is fully funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation until June 2027, with potential for additional funding by Paul Hamlyn beyond this date.

Deadline to apply: Tuesday 19 May, 10am
Interviews: Tuesday 26 May, ATLAS Office, Portree or Zoom
